Texas news– A CIA story titled “Homeland” has unseated Mad Men who have been the best drama series for four consecutive years in a row.
This was the first Award for Showtime in a Drama Category.
“Best in Writing” Award also went to “Homeland” for Showtime.
Actress Claire Danes, who is also the female leading role, captured the Best Actress Award for portraying the role of a CIA agent Carrie Mathison.
Unluckily for his co star Nicholas Brody, who lost the best actor award to Jon Hamm of “Mad Men”.”Mad Men” will be airing their second season this weekend.
Best in Comedy was won again by “Modern Family” for the third time while Charlie Sheen captured the best actor in a comedy show after four nominations.
The surprise of the night came when the best actress was awarded to Julia Louis-Dreyfus for HBO’s “Veep.”
Multi Awarded Julianne Moore won best the lead actress for a miniseries portraying Sarah Palin in HBO’s “Game Change”.
