The picture shows a police man hitting a handcuff woman is a police brutality. No matter how wrong the person did we should not put the law in our own hands . Let the court set the penalty to the wrong doers.
According to the news the woman named Donna Levesque was on the curb outside the casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island after being removed from the premises for disorderly behavior. She was sitting in the parking slot with handcuffed when the police kick her in the head and luckily it was captured on video from a security camera at Twin River in Lincoln showing Krawetz kicking a handcuffed woman in the head.
The policeman named Edward Krawetz was suspended without pay and subsequently tried for assault with dangerous weapon in connection with the incident. He was convicted last March 2012, after which he will be sentenced to 10 yrs. in prison.
But the police officer is still appealing to the court and fight for his job. He said he was only doing his job. A three day administrative hearing will determine whether Officer Krawetz should be allowed to keep his job. Under the Law Enforcement Officers Bill of Rights, a three-member panel of police officers will decide his professional fate after what is expected to be three days of hearings.
Up to this day Krawetz has been suspended without pay but still receives health benefits and other benefits.
